Message from the President
Rush Boys Membership, as you buy your new uniform, please consider turning in your old uniform for a $20.00 credit! It is as simple as this, when the Team Manager distributes your new uniform, bring in your old uniform. The Team Manager will keep track of which players turned in there used uniform for the $20.00 credit. The Rush management team will then ship these uniforms to our clubs in Africa.
Membership, each uniform is so important to these kids, each one makes a difference. This is called our R.E.A.C.H. program, Rush Equipment Assisting CHildren. You are helping kids feel part of a team…the Rush Soccer Club.
Help those boys and girls, consider donating your old uniform!
Thank you. Tim Schulz, President & C.E.O. of Rush Soccer.

Rush Uniforms and the R.E.A.C.H. Program - Q&A
Is the uniform price increased from the boy’s kits last purchased in 2008?
No. The cost is essentially the same (give or take a dollar) as the jersey from the 2008 cycle. Depending on the size of the uniform (adult vs. youth), price increased or decreased marginally. But overall the price has remained the same.
Is this uniform offered to the general public?
No. This particular uniform is unique to Rush Soccer and is not available to any other group or individual outside of the club. Both the new blue jersey and grey jersey are in colors exclusive to Rush members. Even after adding in customization of colors, adding the Rush logo, and applying jersey numbers, the new Rush uniforms are less expensive to our membership than ANY Nike customized jerseys to a non-Rush member.
In the past, uniforms took 6-8 weeks to be delivered from time of order. What is the turnaround time for this cycle?
The turnaround time for delivery has decreased significantly from past years. The ordering and distribution system between Nike and Eurosport has changed allowing for orders to process faster. This has, in turn, decreased turnaround time to Rush members. With Rush gear being customized, time is needed to get orders done. Team managers are encouraged to place their orders 30 days prior to the date when needed. However, turnaround time, as a whole, will be much quicker than past years.
What is R.E.A.C.H.?
R.E.A.C.H. stands for Rush Equipment Assisting CHildren. The program was launched in 2004. The goal of the program is to collect used soccer equipment and send it to communities in need. To date, R.E.A.C.H. has collected over 100,000 pieces of equipment and shipped gear to 15 countries worldwide.
How is the purchase of my new Boys Uniform connected to the R.E.A.C.H. program?
Rush Soccer has negotiated with Nike and Eurosport, based on our large membership numbers, to keep jersey prices the same as 2008, and has introduced a rebate program to encourage participation in the R.E.A.C.H. program. If a Rush member donates an old Rush uniform (2 jerseys, 1 short) to the R.E.A.C.H. program, they will receive a $20 rebate on the purchase of the new boys uniform.
How does the rebate program work?
When your team manager distributes the new 2010 boys uniform, bring in your old uniform for a $20 rebate.
How do I get my rebate?
The rebate process takes a 3-4 months for Rush members to receive a $20 credit to their child’s account OR a check for $20. Each respective club will determine this process.
Why are Rush, Nike and Eurosport providing this $20 rebate?
The $20 rebate was created to incentivize our membership to join in enhancing the outreach efforts and pool our resources in order to help those less fortunate to ourselves. All three parties have put in a concerted, concentrated effort in negotiating to keep prices the same.
Why is Rush doing this R.E.A.C.H. jersey collection?
As global leaders in youth soccer, we have the chance (through our membership) to change children’s lives by donating used equipment. In the past, the R.E.A.C.H. program has sent gear to countries like Iraq, Haiti, South Africa, Nigeria, and Thailand. Through our contributions, children are outfitted with shoes, shirts and shorts, providing hope and a sense of team unity and belonging.
BOTTOM LINE
Rush, along with our two main sponsors, have created a system which allows our membership to donate used uniforms while providing a rebate for those who choose to participate in the R.E.A.C.H. program.

AJ Auxerre Earn Spot in UEFA Champions League Group Stage
(08.25.10)
The first win in the 2010-2011 campaign for AJ Auxerre was a big one! After losing 1-0 to Zenit St. Petersburg in their away leg of the Champions League playoffs, AJA returned to the Abbe-Deschamps Stadium and secured a 2-0 win over Zenit to win the aggregate series 2-1. With the 2-0 victory, AJ Auxerre have earned a position in the UEFA Champions League group stage!
Cedric Hengbart got the home side on the scoreboard early with a header goal nine minutes into the game. Ireneusz Jelen’s volley in the 52nd minute put AJA up in the aggregate and the home side maintained for the remainder to ensure a return to the Champions League after an eight-year absence. The Auxerre defense was aided late in the game as two men for Zenit were sent off.
Match day 1 of the 32-team group stage begins September 14 and 15. Groups will be drawn Thursday in Monaco.
Auxerre will return to Ligue 1 action this weekend when they take on AS Monaco. AJA will be looking for their first win in the domestic league after playing to draws in each of their first three matches.
Congratulations AJ Auxerre!
