Pennsylvania Rush Soccer

Important field lining notes

1) All PA Rush soccer fields need to be lined once per week after the initial set-up is completed. Each travel team’s Field Coordinator or manager will create a schedule for parent volunteers to line their assigned fields each week. It is recommended that the Field coordinator or team manager have the parent volunteer email him/her when the field lining is completed.

2) When it is your turn to line a field, please make sure it is done by Thursday or Friday of your assigned week. Be aware of the weather and evaluate which day is better for you to line the field. If you are unable to get to the field by Thursday or Friday, it can be done Saturday morning at least 45 minutes before the first game played on that field.

3) Field lining MUST be completed on a weekly basis to ensure that the field lines are visible and to avoid the process of re-measuring. Paint over the existing lines making sure to keep them straight. If the lines are faded, two coats of paint, one in each direction, may be necessary.

4) The equipment can be retrieved from the sheds at the PA Rush Complex on Upper State Rd, Doylestown or North Branch Park, on Park Ave. behind the New Britain Township building. Ask for the combination for the lock and for the gate and sheds from either your team manager or the Field Coordinator, John Winn [email: [email protected] or cell: 215-262-4832].

5) Equipment Needed:
Lining machine (if you have someone helping you take two machines)
1 case of the correct color paint (most field lines are white)

6) If you've never used a field lining machine, please watch the below YouTube video.
