Is your child interested in playing travel soccer with PA Rush in Fall 2027?

The PA Rush Pre-Travel Development Program (PTDP) is designed for current U7 and U8 boys and girls who aspire to take the next step from recreational soccer to the travel level. This 8 week program introduces players to the training environment, expectations, and playing style of PA Rush travel soccer, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to prepare for the transition.

Led by Paul Malcolm (Zone 1 Boys Director of Coaching) and Josh Gray (Zone 1 Girls Director of Coaching), sessions mirror the structure of our travel team practices, giving players an opportunity to experience travel style training while continuing to develop their technical and tactical abilities.

What Will Players Learn?

Training will focus on developing well rounded players through:

• Attacking Fundamentals: Passing, receiving, turning, dribbling, movement off the ball, and finishing.
• Defending Fundamentals: Pressing, covering, recovering, marking, intercepting, and tackling.
• Scanning & Decision-Making: Learning to recognize what's happening around them and make effective decisions on the field.

Players will spend much of their time in realistic, opposed game situations, including 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v2, and 3v3. These activities help players apply their skills in game-like environments while developing creativity, confidence, and game awareness.

Our goal is to help players prepare for the PA Rush travel soccer pathway in Fall 2027 while building confidence, developing their love for the game, and fostering a strong connection with the club.

Take the first step toward travel soccer with PA Rush!
